We were sad to say goodbye to Italy but so glad to reach Switzerland. Our first port of call was a relative of Sally`s, Eva-Maria in Lugano. What a wonderful lady and such a beautiful city. Set only 30km from the Italian boarder the transformation in the countryside when you cross the boarder is very sudden. The olive groves suddenly stop and you find yourself looking a snow covered mountains. Lugano sits next to a giant lake that is Italy on one side and Switzerland on the other. Here we got spoilt rotten by Eva-Maria but my favourite thing was the Swiss Minitures. It is a Theme Park like thing that has miniture models of all the significant sights of Switzerland. I tell you, these Swiss think of everything!! We stay for only two nights and then it is off to Zurich and Suzi and Freddy!!
