Well after travelling for an entire day from Amsterdam to Brussels and from Brussels to London, Sally and I battled the Underground, packed like horses in 30+ degree heat. It was hell. On the plus side we got to catch up with some guys from the Egypt Tour. They generously opened their house to us so we would have a place to sleep. And I finally got to see my family, Mum, Damien, Tash and the new addition Bryn Oliver. It was great. London hasn't changed all that much since I was here last. The streets are still packed with traffic, mainly black cabs and red buses. The people still move at a hundred miles an hour. The cars are back to driving on the correct side of the road. Almost everyone speaks English and Posh and David Beckham are more Royal than the Queen herself. It may not be new to me but it was all new for Sally and her excitement was infectious. We explored Covent Gardens, Camden Town, climbed the 540 steps up to the top of St. Pauls Cathedral, watched a rehersal at Shakespears Globe, heard the stories of executions at the Tower of London and then Tash's parents took us to Bath for the Day. We have managed to cram a good amount into the short time that Sally is here. But today she leaves. Very sad affair as I probably won't ge to see here for another year. I'll have to devote my attention to Bryn, I'm sure he'll accept it! This will be my last entry until my holiday starts up again in November. I am flying across to Beijing to meet up with my Australian friends, Pickle, Fothers and Steve and we are going to travel for a month across Mongolia and Russia. It will be great to go back to Beijing again. Third time! I'm becoming a frequent visitor. HA HA. Unlike Europe I might actually be able to understand what they're saying, but then again, high school Chinese will only get you so far. Thankyou for reading all the way to the end of my trip.
