Well we thought that given we had come this far we may as well investigate the sites of Athens. Landing at the port at 1AM and trying to figure out how to get to our hostel without a map, a lick of Greek and no directions. We got to see more of Athens than we intended. It was good though....once we made it to the hostel. As far as the sites. The Acropolis was fantastic. Hard to believe that we were walking around this ancient political centre...felt like I needed a toga or something. Athens was just beautiful too. We walked through some open air markets and had a gyros or two and avoided ouzo where we could. Although only there for the day I was glad we made the effort. Off to Switzerland next.
